爽爽夏日，映日荷花，8月24日至26日，一年级小娃娃们在青浦协和度过了充满欢乐和智趣的三天。师生见面、校园探秘、畅游水世界、兴趣课程体验，孩子们收获了大大的成长，告诉自己：“我是一名小学生啦”！
Indulge yourself in our wonderful orientation camp! Over the course of our 3-Day Camp, our awesome and outgoing new Grade 1 students met their teachers and classmates. They explored their new campus and “World of Water” as well as experiencing unique elective classes filled with colorful and meaningful blended curricula.
师生见面会，自然而温馨的初次相遇
Meeting with Teachers
一句 “2020，我们来啦！”正式拉开准备营的序幕。体育老师带来的动感健身操让孩子们嗨翻起来；音乐组老师用歌声欢迎孩子们的到来；美术老师展示了梦幻艺术空间；科技组通过 “机器人” 吸引了所有的孩子；英语组的歌曲串烧、数学组的魔术表演、语文组的《声律启蒙》；医务室、心理辅导中心的自护小攻略…… 这一切不禁让孩子们喊道 “真是太有趣了！”
Physical Education teachers fired everyone up with dynamic dance; music teachers welcomed our children with fair-sounding songs; art teachers displayed beautiful art; technology groups attracted everyone with robotics”; English teachers presented a song with all English teachers’ names; math teachers displayed magic to show the delight of math; Chinese teachers read aloud with the “Significance of enlightenment”; then our psychologist played games with all children to teach them some tips on protecting themselves and make them masters of their own mood.
校园探秘，一张地图打卡各个网红地点
Exploring the Campus
手拿地图，自行规划路线，寻找“神秘地点”。老师带领扫码观看视频，让孩子们了解各活动室功能。不一会儿，大家开始讨论最喜爱的校园一角了。
Student, maps in hand, organized routes, researched secret places, scanned QR codes and watched videos introducing the functions of every activity room. Then, they started to discuss their favorite place in the school.
走进水世界，体验跨学科的学习魅力
Entering the World of Water
2020是不平凡的一年，新冠病毒肆掠，洪水吞噬了农田…… 生活中充满了学习素材。此次，新生准备营以“水”为主题，开展跨学科探究，让宝贝们关注身边发生的事件，培养宽广的视野和胸怀。
This year is an extraordinary year, while the pandemic is still raging, floods also soaked farmlands and houses…Life is our first true teacher. In order to help students understand what is happening around us, we organized the transdisciplinary theme “Water” so that our children can explore the secrets of water, express their feelings about water, binding learning together with real-life.
责任之水
英语课以 “Water is life, Treat it right” 为主题，通过 think-pair-share 的形式培养孩子构建环保意识。
In our English class, following the theme of “Water is life, Treat it right”, the children discovered the importance of protecting the environment. They found solutions through discussion and sharing, building up their understanding of environmental protection through collaborative discussions such as think-pair-share even at this young age!
量感之水
数学课从 “量感” 入手，数一数、拼一拼、加一加，寻找 “魔法药水” 配方。
In the mathematics class, starting from the “sense of quantity”, through the methods of counting, spelling, and addition, students discovered the formula of a magic potion, found partners who completed the “magic potion”, and jointly completed their own collaborative “Magic potion”.
文化之水
语文课从认识甲骨文 “水” 字入手，结交了很多和水有关的兄弟姐妹。谈谈 “水” 的重要性，吟诵和水有关的古诗文，动手制作小书签……
“Water Resource” in Chinese class also provided a fascinating learning opportunity for students. Starting from the understanding of the word “water” in Oracle, the children “made up” many brothers and sisters related to water, and talked about the importance of “water” in our lives. They learned many ancient poems related to water, and finally made a bookmark with “water”.
律动之水
什么是音乐的声音？乐器、身体、墙、水…… 只要让它们有规则地发出声来，那就是音乐的声音。当高脚杯和水融合在一起，再用手或小棒有规律地敲击，那声音真是太美妙了！
In music class, teachers and children continued to explore the sound of music. Musical instruments, bodies, walls, water… As long as they can make sound, they are the sound of music. When a glass and water are combined, and beaten regularly hands or sticks they produce a melody, much to the excitement of our budding musicians!
生命之水
美术课展开 “海洋生命” 的讨论，海洋里有什么动物呢？鱼、海豚、水母、鲸，当然还有凶猛的大鲨鱼。好吧，那就让我们一起动手，拼贴一个有着大大嘴巴、尖尖牙齿的鲨鱼吧！
The ocean is the cradle of life, nurturing and protecting thousands of species. In art class, the children discussed marine life. What animals are there in the ocean? There are fish, dolphins, jellyfish, whales… Let’s make a shark with a huge mouth and terrifying teeth together!
活力之水
炎炎夏日池中游，呼啦呼啦水中戏。体育组老师和孩子们在泳池中迸发活力，探索水上运动项目。
The teachers and children of the physical education group burst into energy in the rippling blue swimming pool, and started the children’s love affair with water sports.
科技之水
水是如何净化的？怎样预测雨水的多少？这一切都离不开科技。编程课上，大家初识编程，培养逻辑思维，开动创造力。
“How is water purified?” “How to predict rainfall?”… All of this is inseparable from technology. In programming class, children built with building blocks to inspire children’s logical thinking ability and creativity, and feel the power of technology.
多元兴趣课程，所见所做尽是趣和美
Multi-level Elective Courses
此外，我们还开展了一系列兴趣课程，乐器体验、AI 小创客、欢乐动漫、戏剧表演，鼓励孩子们尝试新领域。
In addition, we have also launched a series of interest courses, musical instrument experience, AI creator activity, happy animation, and drama performances to encourage children to try new fields.

满满的仪式感必不可少，“关爱之星”、“探究之星”、“礼仪之星”…… 一张张奖状都因孩子的表现而专属定制，记录每一个小脚印，一步一步向前迈进。
On such a special day, a holistic sense of completion is essential, “Caring Star”, “Inquiry Star”, “Etiquette Star”… each award is customized for the child’s performance.
今天，乐不思“暑” 一年级新生准备营落下帷幕，我们不说再见。因为这象征着新一站的启程，当孩子们再次背起书包走进校园时，一定更加自信从容。
In 2020, although the delightful Summer Camp journey has come to an end, we will not say goodbye. It is not only the end of the first stop for children in school, but also the new beginning of the next stop. When they next carry their schoolbags and walk into our campus, they can only feel more confident that they are ready to be part of our loving school family.
