The celebration commenced with a welcome speech from the school’s Co-acting Principals, Ms. Sunny Huang and Dr. Adam Neufield, followed by a memorable speech from Ms. Echeverry, who provided an overview of the special relationship between the Republic of Colombia and the People’s Republic of China. Guests then viewed an incredible commemorative video entitled, “Alto Cielo”, which was then followed by a variety of stunning Colombian dance and singing performances. Our very own teacher, Ms. Erika Cardona Gonzalez, a native of Colombia, was also a star of the evening. Some of the campus’ Middle and High School students and parents watched and participated in this event as well!
协和相信,多元文化环境将带给孩子们包容的心态、欣赏的眼光和开阔的格局,希望类似的文化交流活动可以更多在校园里呈现。
Xiehe believes that a multicultural environment serves to develop in children a more tolerant attitude, appreciation for other cultures, and an open mindset, and hopes that many more similar cultural exchange activities will take place on the campus in the future!
