青浦协和初中部六年级孩子举行了第一届“文化小使者”英语活动，并于上周四4月8日举行“迷你世博会”成果展示。同学们分别选择感兴趣的国家，并担任该国的“推广大使”，从文化、地标、城市、自然风光四个领域开展调研，最终以小组形式分享收获。
On April 8th, Grade 6 students participated in their first Little Ambassador’s Fair at SUIS Qingpu. The Little Ambassador’s project involved students choosing a country of their choice and becoming their ambassador; they researched four main categories: culture, landmarks, cities and natural features. Students were broken into separate groups and instructed to design a board to display the interesting facts about their respective country.
精心准备之后，展览会不局限于平面的静态的展板，还有各种好玩有趣的娱乐和互动，并邀请七年级学长学姐参与。例如，孩子们通过问卷、创意活动向同伴们介绍世界各国万千精彩，日本折纸、英国飞镖、瑞士巧克力……
They then had an opportunity to present their findings in a fun and engaging way by educating the rest of their middle school peers through trivia and other creative activities. These activities included Japanese paper folding (origami), British darts, Swiss Chocolate…
“文化小使者”活动是我校项目化学习中的一个篇章，鼓励孩子主动把课堂与实际生活相连结，将目光投至世界各个角落，以宽广胸怀去尝试、去学习，收获友好的情谊。
The fair is an example of project-based learning which helped students to take what they have learned in English class and put it to use in a meaningful way. The Little Ambassador’s project itself is meant to foster understanding and friendship between nations and to help promote a sense of international mindedness amongst students.

Little Ambassador is a meaningful and unforgettable event. We have leant a lot about the culture and tradition of different countries. it also helps to improve the friendship between Grade 6 and Grade 7 students. I really like this kind of project-based learning.
我觉得“文化小使者”活动让我很难忘，也很有意义。我们有机会通过同伴的作品，了解各国文化传统。在活动中增进了与六年级学弟学妹的友谊。我特别喜欢这样的项目学习。

This activity is very interesting. I enjoyed it with my partners happily. We gave face drawing on the audiences’ faces. Our group learnt to work as a team, and we were happy to see lots of Grade 7 students come and listen to our introduction to Italy.
这次我担任“意大利小使者”，我很享受和小组成员合力用心准备的过程。活动当天，我还负责给参加展览会的同学画面部彩绘。七年级的同学能这么耐心听我讲解意大利的文化，真是太荣幸了！
