For only the second time in its short yet expanding history SUIS Qingpu opened its doors to schools around Shanghai to compete in a boys U13 7-a-side football competition. For many of the SUIS Qingpu players this was their first ever competitive inter-school competition and their first 7-a-side style football fixture.
Some fantastic football was seen by those teams that took part, many of which boasted seasoned schoolboy and academy players. Despite this however the SUIS Qingpu team fought bravely through every encounter and showed great resilience and spirit. Many more games to come for this team, great motivation to keep attending training and to keep working hard.
In April, the passionate SUIS Qingpu ushered in a variety of sports competitions last weekend. The primary school basketball team took part in the “Shanghai United International Schools” U12 Youth Men’s Basketball Competition on Saturday. Although it was our first match, the players excelled one by one. Dare to fight the tenacious style of the game has won the consistent high praise of other alliance schools!
On April 11th, 9 students representing our school went to Shanghai Nord Anglia School to participate in the SSSA swimming competition. This is the first time for our school to participate in the league competition. In this competition, Tiger Li from 3A won the third place in the men’s 50m butterfly in the U9-10 group. We have gained a lot of experience from the race, and we will work harder in the following training to make another good performance.
